Dear Sir,

I am Sagar Mistry from System Level Solution Pvt Ltd(India).

We have purchased HyperLOG 7040 Antenna form the aaronia since 5 or 6 years ago and we are using this for our inhouse testing purpose.

We need to perform a Total Radiative Sensitivity test of our DUT at 3meter inside the anechoic chamber  For the 868MHz frequency band and for the TRS test, we are using the HyperLOG 7040 antenna as a transmitter and DUT will be a receiver.

I have the following queries regarding the HyperLOG 7040 antenna.

  • Can we use the HyperLOG 7040 antenna as a transmitter?
  • What precaution should I need to consider if used as a transmitter?
  • Can anyone explain to me the following line regarding the HyperLOG 7040 antenna?
  • "For the hyper log antenna at 868MHz the signal is radiated about 20cm from the front, so for correct path loss calculation you take the distance between your DUT and the front of the hyper log, and then add 20cm to it."

Kindly guide me regarding this further.

Thanks and regards,

Sagar Mistry
