Hello,

I'm trying to measure Wimax (5.4 - 5.8 GHz) and WI-FI (2.4 GHz), and I don't Know how to do it; in exemple, when I configure ths analycer to "see" wifi band (802 b or g), default parametrers are: sample time: 500 ms, samples 51, RBW 1 MHz, and Video: 3 MHz; if the analycer is near of the router, the "first" sweep shows a very "high" signal at the used chanel in my wireles network (-40 - - 50 dBm) with an "expected wide band"; following sweeps show little signals, with narrow wide band, and a lower level (when I use any "wifi monitor for pc, net stumbler or equivalent", the signal showed are more estable).

In Wimax, the problem is similar; at first I need to configure the RBW to 100 KHz, to minimice the background noise, but the signals doesn't have the "expected" wideband.

So I think I am not well configuring the analycer to "see" correctly this signals; can you help me?

Thank you very much and apologize for my ignorance.

Ismael
